Diorio Earns Riding Instructor Certification
Jennifer Diorio freelance instructor throughout central NJ and in Staten Island, NY has been
certified on April 24, 2004 by the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA) as a Level I Instructor in Hunt Seat and
Recreational Riding.
The American Riding Instructors Association was founded in 1984 and has headquarters in Bonita
Springs, Florida. ARIA is committed to safe teaching practices, knowledge, and integrity. Miss Diorio was required to display a broad base of knowledge in general horse care, safety principles,
ethics, and value judgments, horsemanship teaching techniques, and specific specialty knowledge for the styles of riding she
has been certified to teach.
In order to become certified by ARIA, Miss Diorio attended an ARIA Test Center in Syracuse, NY where she was required
to successfully pass extensive written exams, submit a video tape of her teaching techniques for evaluation by a panel of
some of the nations top horseman and educators, and successfully complete a personal interview.
Jennifer Diorio got started teaching in 2003 at Sundown Stables
in Wall,NJ. She has recently relocated from Wall and is now teaching freelance in the central NJ area.
Miss Diorio explains that she takes great pleasure in working with beginner riders to give them a good foundation to learn
on, but she also enjoys teaching more advanced riders. Lessons are available for both children and adults.
Miss Diorio's safe and effective riding program focuses on teaching her students to have confidence in themselves
as they progress at their own pace. Miss Diorio has been riding and working with
horses for over 20 years and her philosophy is that ‘safe riding is correct riding’.
