I am a dependable and responsible adult with many years of experience working with
children. For 5 years I was the owner/manager of 'Quality English Riding Instruction', a horsebackriding program
that focused on teaching children ages 4 and up in a stress free, super friendly environment. My program was very hands on
and focused on teaching all of my students the important basics of riding and to always put safety first. This was a very
popular program as many lesson barns and riding stables in the area did not cater to children so small/inexperienced around
horses.
After that, I worked for 2 years
as a lead instructor at The Little Gym, a children's motor skill development/gymnastics program in Morgnaville,
NJ. I worked with ages 19 months and up, but my favorite age group are the 3 - 4 year olds. Pre-K kids are very interesting
individuals!
Because of my love of working with children
I am now currently enrolled full time at the College of Staten Island to complete my Bachelors Degree in
Elementary Education. I am also planning to continue through to get my Masters in Special Education. I am very excited and
extremely interested in getting on way to finishing my degree and starting to teach!
I am also currently interning with 'Strategies for Success'. This
is a tutoring program that works with children in low income neighborhoods in Staten Island. I have been a mentor/tutor to
many K - 5th graders at a community center in Stapleton since January 2011. Although very challenging, it is an
extremely rewarding program for both the mentors and students. In the past I have also volunteered at my church
to teach the CCD classes after school. I plan to do that again in the future as my school/work schedule allows.
I am very eager to meet you and your children and being able to help
you out from time to time by babysitting to help make your life easier. Please contact me if you have any questions about
my services.
